Ingredients:

| cup | SHORTENING | | 3/4
| cup | SUGAR | | 1
| tsp | VANILLA | | 1
| each | EGG, SLIGHTLY BEATEN | | 4
| tsp | MILK | | 2
| cup | FLOUR | | 1 1/2
| tsp | BAKING POWDER | | 1/4
| tsp | SALT |

Procedures:
| 1 | In a large bowl cream together the shortening and sugar. | | 2 | Beat until light and fluffy. | | 3 | Beat in egg, vanilla and milk, mixing well. | | 4 | Combine flour, baking powder and salt and gradually add to creamed mixture. | | 5 | Beat until smooth. | | 6 | Chill for at least 1 hour. | | 7 | Roll dough out to a thickness of ? and cut into desired shapes. | | 8 | Bake at 375 deg f. for 6 to 8 minutes. |
