Kc's fruitcake drops

Ingredients:
1 cupSifted flour
1/4 tspBaking soda
1/4 tspSalt
1/2 tspCinnamon
4 tbspButter (?stick), softened
1/2 cupSugar
1 Egg, slightly beaten
2 tbspBrandy, I like cherry
8 ozDates, chopped & pitted
4 ozCandied red cherries, choppd
4 ozCandied mixed fruit, chopped
4 ozCandied pineapple, chopped
1/2 cupBlanched almonds (opt)
1/2 cupBrazil nuts (opt)
Or
1 cupWalnuts, chopped
Procedures:
1Sift flour, soda, salt and cinnamon together.
2Cream butter and sugar until fluffy light in medium size bowl, beat in eggs and brandy.
3Stir in flour mixture, half at a time, blending well to make a soft dough.
4Stir in the remainer of the ingredients, mixing to coat everything.
5Drop batter, a rounded teaspoon full at a time, 1 " apart onto a lightly greased cookie sheet.
6Bake at 350 °F for 12 minutes or until firm and lightly browned.
7When cool, store in an air tight container.
8These cookie dry out quickly and get hard otherwise.
