Ingredients:

| cup | Butter | | 3/4
| cup | Brown sugar | | 1
| tsp | Lemon rind, grated | | 2 1/2
| cup | Flour | | 1/4
| tsp | Salt | | 1
| tbsp | Lemon juice | | 1
| | Egg white | | 1
| tbsp | Water | | 1
| cup | Filbert nuts, finely chopped |

Procedures:
| 1 | Cream butter, sugar and lemon rind until fluffy. | | 2 | Sift together and add flour, salt and lemon juice. | | 3 | Mix well and chill several hours. | | 4 | Shape into logs and roll in beaten egg white or egg yolk mixed with water and then finely chopped filbert nuts. | | 5 | Anna weishaar this is my favorite of my grandmother"s cookies: |
