Ingredients:
2/3 cupButter Flavor Crisco
3/4 cupSugar
1 tbspMilk PLUS 1 teaspoon milk
1 tspVanilla
1 Egg
2 cupFlour, all purpose
1 1/2 tspBaking powder
1/4 tspSalt
24 To 30 flat ice cream sticks
Assorted decorations
( baking chips, raisins
Red hots, snipped dried
Fruit, coconut, nuts
Colored sugar, etc... )
Procedures:
1Preparation time: 15 minutes chill time: 2 hours bake time: 8-10 minutes
2Cream butter flavor crisco, sugar, milk and vanilla in large bowl at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended.
3Beat in egg.
4Combine flour, baking powder and salt.
5Mix into creamed mixture.
6Cover and refrigerate several hours to overnight.
7Heat oven to 375°F.
8Shape dough into 1 ?inch balls.
9Push ice cream stick into center of dough.
10Place dough.
11With sticks parallel, 3 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
12Flatten to ?inch with large, smooth, greased and floured spatula.
13Decorate as desired.
14Press decorations into dough.
15( hint: cookies may also be painted.
16Mix 1 egg yolk and ?teaspoon water.
17Divide into 3 cups.
18Add 2 to 3 drops different food color to each.
19Stir.
20Use clean water color brushes to paint cookies before baking.

22Bake at 375°F for 8 to 10 minutes.
23Cool on baking sheet 2 minutes.
24Remove to cooling rack.
