| 1 | Recipe by: betty crocker"s cookbook butter square pan, 9 x 9 x 2 inches. | | 2 | Heat marshmallows and margarine in 3-quart saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, until marshmallows are melted and mixture is smooth; remove from heat. | | 3 | Stir in vanilla. | | 4 | Stir in half of the cereal at a time until evenly coated. | | 5 | Press in pan; cool. | | 6 | Cut into about 2 x 1-inch bars. | | 7 | 36 bars; 35 calories per bar. | | 8 | To microwave: cut margarine into 4 pieces. | | 9 | Place on marshmallows in 3-quart microwavable bowl or casserole. | | 10 | Microwave uncovered on high 1 minute 30 seconds to 2 minutes 30 seconds, stirring every minute, until marshmallows can be stirred smooth. | | 11 | Continue as directed. |
