Ingredients:
| 1 1/2
| cup | Confectioner's sugar | | | (sifted) | | 3/4
| cup | Butter | | 1
| | Egg | | 2 1/2
| cup | Flour | | 1
| tsp | Vanilla | | 1
| tsp | Almond flavoring | | 1
| tsp | Soda | | 1
| tsp | Cream of tartar |

Procedures:
| 1 | Cream butter & sugar. | | 2 | Mix in egg & flavorings. | | 3 | Mix dry ingredients & blend into above mixture, dough will be stiff. | | 4 | Can refrigerate a few min. or can make into balls & place on a cookie sheet about 1 ?to 2 inches apart. | | 5 | Press down with a fork. | | 6 | Place pecan on each cookie (optional) & bake at 375 degrees until brown. | | 7 | ~- |
