Mascarpone marble brownies

Ingredients:
CHOCOLATE LAYER
4 ozSemisweet chocolate
3 ozButter, softened
2 Eggs
1 cupSugar
1 tspVanilla extract
1/2 tspBaking powder
1/4 tspSalt
1/2 cupAll-purpose flour
1/2 cupWalnuts, coarsely chopped
VANILLA LAYER
5 ozMascarpone
2 ozButter, softened
1/4 cupSugar
1 Egg
1 tspFlour
1/2 tspVanilla extract
Procedures:
1Melt the chocolate and butter in a double boiler (or microwave).
2Cool to room temperature.
3beat the eggs, gradually add the sugar, then vanilla, and finally add slowly the melted chocolate to the beaten eggs, until well blended.
4in a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, salt and walnuts.
5Add the eggs/chocolate mixture, and mix until blended.
6in another bowl, mix well the mascarpone cheese and butter.
7Add sugar, egg, flour and vanilla.
8Mix until blended.
9preheat oven to 360°F (180 c).
10layer a square 9" baking pan with parchment paper, and butter the paper and the sides of the pan.
11Pour 2/3 of the chocolate mixture, and flatten with a spatula.
12Add the vanilla mixture, flatten.
13Using a spoon, add the remaining 1/3 of the chocolate mixture.
14Using a knife, mix slightly the two top layers, to create a marble effect.
15Don"t overmix.
16bake 30 to 35 minutes.
17Cool before cutting to squares.
