Ethiopian beef and peppers

Ingredients:
6 eachGreen chiles, skinned
-seeded, chopped
2 tspFresh ginger, peel, chop
4 clGarlic
1/4 tspGround cardamom
1/4 tspGround tumeric
1/4 tspGround cinnamon
1/4 tspGround cloves
1/2 cupRed wine
2 lbsSirloin steak, cut in
-?inch strips
6 tbspOil
2 cupOnion, chopped
2 eachBell peppers, cut in strips
Procedures:
1Puree chiles, ginger, garlic, spices, and wine to a smooth paste.
2Brown beef in hot oil.
3When evenly browned, remove and drain off all but 2t oil.
4Saute onion in the oil until soft but not browned.
5Add the bell peppers and saute for an additional 3 mins.
6Add the chile puree and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
7Add the beef and mix until strips are coated with sauce.
8Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes more until the beef is done
