Oatmeal-banana lebkuchen

Ingredients:
3/4 cupMargarine, softened
1/2 cupBrown sugar, packed
1/4 cupHoney
1 1/2 tbspGround cinnamon
1 1/2 tbspGround ginger
1 tbspGround cardamom
1/2 tbspGround cloves
2 medExtra-ripe, DOLE Bananas
Peeled
2 Eggs, beaten
1 3/4 cupAll-purpose flour
1/2 tbspBaking powder
1/2 tbspBaking soda
1/2 tbspSalt
3/4 cupDOLE Chopped Almonds
1/2 cupMixed candied fruit
-finely chopped
2 cupQuick oats, uncooked
LEMON GLAZE
3/4 cupSifted powdered sugar
1 Juice from DOLE Lemon (1T)
1 dropAlmond extract
Procedures:
1Beat margarine, brown sugar and honey in large bowl.
2Beat in cinnamon, ginger, cardamom and cloves.
3mash bananas with fork in small bowl; use 1 cup for recipe.
4Add 1 cup banana and eggs to margarine mixture; beat until blended.
5combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt in small bowl.
6Stir in almonds and candied fruit.
7Add to margarine mixture.
8Stir until well blended.
9Stir in oats.
10drop by heaping teaspoonfuls, 2" apart, onto greased cookie sheets.
11Bake in 400°F.
12Oven 8 minutes.
13Cool completely on wire racks.
14Spread with lemon glaze or dust with powdered sugar.
15When glaze has set, store cookies in airtight container.
16makes 4 dozen cookies.
17lemon glaze: combine all ingredients until blended.
