Ingredients:
1 1/4 cupAll-purpose Flour
1 tspBaking Soda
1/2 tspSalt
1/2 tspCinnamon
1 cupButter or Margarine-2 sticks
3/4 cupSugar
3/4 cupBrown Sugar, firmly packed
2 Eggs
1 tspVanilla or grated peel of
- One Orange
3 cupQuick or Old Fashioned Oats
-uncooked
12 ozPkg. Nestle Toll House
-Butterscotch flavored
-Morsels (2 cups)
Procedures:
1Preheat oven to 375°F.
2In small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon; set aside.
3In large mixer bowl, beat butter, sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract or orange peel until creamy.
4Gradually beat in flour mixture.
5Stir in oats and butterscotch morsels.
6Drop by measuring teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
7Bake 7-8 minutes for chewier cookies; 9-10 minutes for crisper cookies.
8Pan cookie variation: spread dough into greased 15?x 10?x 1" baking pan.
9Bake 18 to 22 minutes.
10Cool; cut into thirty-five 2"squares.
