Ingredients:
| 1/2
| cup | Shortening | | 1
| cup | Peanut Butter (Creamy) | | 3/4
| cup | Granulated sugar | | 1/2
| cup | Brown Sugar (firmly packed) | | 1
| tsp | Vanilla | | 1
| | Egg | | 1
| tbsp | Milk | | 1 1/4
| cup | Flour | | 3/4
| tsp | Baking Soda | | 1/2
| tsp | Baking Powder | | 1/4
| tsp | Salt | | 1
| | Heat oven to 375¦F. |

Procedures:
| 1 | Cream together; shortening, peanut butter, both sugars and vanilla. | | 2 | Beat with electric mixer at medium speed for one minute. | | 3 | Add egg and milk. | | 4 | Beat until well blended. | | 5 | Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt and add to creamed mixture. | | 6 | Mix well. | | 7 | Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased cookie sheet. | | 8 | Flatten in crisscross pattern with fork dipped in flour. | | 9 | Bake fo 8 to 10 minutes. | | 10 | Cool 2 minutes then remove cookies from cookie sheet onto a cooling rack. | | 11 | makes 2 dozen cookies. |
