Peanut crispies

Ingredients:
1/4 cupShortening
1/4 cupButter or margarine
1 cupC&H Golden Brown Sugar
1 Egg, unbeaten
1/2 tspVanilla
1 cupSifted all-purpose flour
1/2 tspSoda
1/2 tspBaking powder
1/4 tspSalt
1 cupRolled oats
1/2 cupCorn flakes
1/2 cupSalted peanuts
Procedures:
1Melt shortening and butter over very low heat.
2Remove from heat and stir in sugar.
3Add egg and vanilla; beat well.
4Combine flour, soda, baking powder, and salt; sift into sugar mixture and mix well.
5Blend in oats, corn flakes, and peanuts.
6Shape dough into 1" balls.
7Place 2" apart on greased baking sheet.
8Bake at 350 °F for 12 to 15 minutes.
9makes 4 dozen 2" cookies.
