Peach cobbler - arielle

Ingredients:
FILLING
1 kgPeaches, sliced
2 tbspLemon juice
2 tbspSugar
PASTRY
175 gramsPlain flour
1 tbspBaking powder
50 gramsButter
2 tbspCaster sugar
A little milk
Sugar, for sprinkling
Procedures:
1Preheat oven to 180 c, or 350°F.
2Place peaches in baking dish (don"t have to peel) and sprinkle lemon juice and sugar over them.
3Sift flour and baking powder, and rub in butter until you form fine crumbs.
4Stir in the caster sugar and enough milk to form a stiff dough.
5Roll out to thickness of 1 cm.
6cut as many 6 cm circles as possible.
7Put pastry discs over the peaches and
8brush with a little milk.
9Sprinkle with sugars and bake for 30-40 minutes, until golden.
10Serve hot with whipped cream or vanilla ice-cream.
