Ingredients:
2 galSoup stock
3 Bay leaves
3 cupCarrots, diced
3 cupCelery, diced
2 cupOnions, chopped
1/2 cupRice
2 quartTomatoes
1 canPeas, no. 2 size
2 tbspSalt
1/4 tspPepper
Procedures:
1Heat the stock with the bay leaves; boil for 5 minutes.
2Remove the bay leaves.
3Add vegetables and seasoning to stock and simmer gently until vegetables are tender and the flavors are blended.
4Other vegetables may be added if desires.
5Add rice and cook until tender.
