Zupa wisniowa (cherry soup)

Ingredients:
4 cupPitted dark sweet cherries
1 pintWater (2 cups)
1 Lemon Juice
3 tbspSugar
1 pintWhipping cream
3 cupCooked egg noodles, if
-desired
Procedures:
1In a large saucepan, combine cherries and water.
2Bring to a boil over medium heat.
3Puree cherries and water in a blender or food processor fitted with a metal blade.
4Return mixture to saucepan.
5Add lemon juice to taste, sugar and whipping cream.
6Gently stir until smooth.
7Serve hot over noodles, if desired.
8Or serve chilled.
9Makes 6 servings variation: substitute red tart cherries for sweet cherries.
10Do not add lemon juice.
11Sweeten with sugar to taste
