Pears glazed with maple syrup rtha stewar

Ingredients:
1/2 cupHeavy cream
1/4 tspGround cardamom
3 Cornice pears (about
-1 ?lb)
1 tbspLemon Juice
1 1/2 tbspUnsalted butter
3 tbspPure maple syrup
Procedures:
1In a chilled mixing bowl, combine cream and cardamom and whip until cream holds soft peaks.
2Refrigerate, covered.
3Quarter, core, and peel pears.
4Cut quarters in half and sprinkle with lemon juice.
5Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
6Arrange pears in skillet and cook on one side until pears just begin to brown, about 3 minutes.
7Add maple syrup and cook until pears are tender, about 1 minute more.
8Turn pears and cook for another minute.
9Remove from heat and allow pears to cool slightly.
10Transfer to bowls and serve warm, topped with whipped cream.
