| 1 | Wash and dry chicken halves. |
| 2 | mix butter with salt, paprika, and garlic. |
| 3 | Brush chicken halves with this mixture, using about half of it. |
| 4 | wash peppers, cut in halves, remove seeds. |

| 6 | saute peppers in oil for a few minutes. |

| 9 | Broil 5-6 inches from source of heat for 20 minutes, brushing with remaining butter mixture and barbecue sauce. |
| 10 | turn and broil for another 10-15 minutes, brushing frequently, until chicken is tender and juices run clear when pierced with a fork. |
