Pasta with italian chicken and scallions

Ingredients:
12 ozFettuccine, uncooked
12 ozBoneless chicken breasts
-- (skinless)
2 cupItalian salad dressing
-- (non-fat)
2 cupWater, divided
2 bn Scallions or spring onions
-- chopped
1 Chicken bouillon cube
2 tspMargarine
Freshly ground black pepper
1 tspVegetable oil
1 Red bell pepper
-- seeds and ribs removed
-- chopped
Chopped parsley for garnish
Procedures:
1Prepare pasta according to package directions; drain.
2in a large skillet, cook chicken in italian dressing and water over medium-high heat until cooked through.
3Remove from pan and allow to cool slightly.
4Cut into bite-sized pieces.
5in a medium saucepan, bring 1 cup of water to a boil.
6Add the onions and bouillon cube.
7Cook until onions are soft, about 3 minutes.
8Drain and reserve liquid.
9Puree the onions with margarine and ?cup of the reserved liquid in a food processor or blender until smooth.
10Season with freshly ground black pepper to taste.
11Toss with pasta.
12in a medium non-stick saute pan, heat oil over medium-high heat.
13Add bell pepper and saute until tender, about 3 to 4 minutes.
14Arrange pasta on a platter and top with chicken and bell pepper.
15Toss lightly.
16Garnish with parsley and serve.
