| lbs | Beef, chuck or round bone | | 1
| lbs | Pork, shoulder or tendeloin | | 4
| large | Onions, sliced | | 3
| quart | Sauerkraut | | 3
| tbsp | Paprika | | 1/2
| pint | Sour cream |

Procedures:
| 1 | Cut meat in cubes. | | 2 | Saute onions in small amount of oil. | | 3 | Remove from flame; add paprika. | | 4 | Stir briskly to keep from burning. | | 5 | Add meat; braise slowly, covered, about 1-?hours. | | 6 | Add sauerkraut; cook ?hour longer; stir in sour cream. | | 7 | Boiled potatoes, polenta, or dumplings are good companions to serve with this. |
