Oatmeal bran bread

Ingredients:
1 cupOatmeal
2 cupWater
1/4 cupLight or dark molasses
2 tbspVegetable oil
1/2 tspSalt
1 Pk active dry yeast (1 tbsp)
1/2 cupWarm water (110-115 F)
1 cupBran
1/4 cupSoy flour
1/2 cupWheat germ
3 cupWhole wheat flour
Procedures:
1Cook the oatmeal according to directions in 2 c water.
2Add the molasses oil and salt.
3Cool to lukewarm.
4Dissolve the yeast in the warm water and add to the oatmeal mixture.
5Stir in the bran, soy flour, and wheat germ.
6Beat in the whole wheat flour, adding a little at a time, until the dough is stiff.
7Knead the dough on a floured surface until itis smooth and elastic.
8Cover with a damp towl and let rise in a warm place in a lightly oiled bowl until doubles in bulk.
9Punch down and knead again until smooth and elastic.
10Divide the dough into two loaves.
11Shape and put into lightly oiled bread pans .
12Let rise until doubled.
13Bake in a 375 degree oven about 40 minutes, or until brown and sounds hollow when tapped on top.
14Remove from pan immediately and cool on wire rack.
15Food energy per slice (1/15 of 1 loaf): 79 calories.
