Rhubarb and pineapple conserve

Ingredients:
4 cupShredded fresh pineapple
1 cupWater
8 cupSliced rhubarb
2 Oranges, juice and grated
-- rind
7 cupSugar
1 cupBlanched almonds
Procedures:
1(makes 5-6 1-lb jars)
2place pineapple in a pan with water and cook covered until tender.
3add rhubarb, juice and grated rind of oranges, and sugar.
4Heat slowly, stirring till sugar is dissolved.
5cook rapidly until thick and clear.
6Add almonds and allow to cool slightly.
7pour into clean hot jars, allow to cool and seal.
