Ingredients:
1/4 cupButter
4 medApples, peeled/sliced
1/2 Onion, red, chopped
1 Red cabbage, head, fine
-shred
1 cupRed wine
4 Cloves, whole
1/3 cupBrown sugar
2 Bay leaves
1/4 cupVinegar
1/4 cupButter
1/2 tbspLemon juice
Procedures:
1Melt butter in 4-quart dutch oven.
2Add apples and onions, saute slightly.
3Add finely shredded cabbage, red wine, cloves, sugar, and bay leaves.
4Simmer, covered, for 1 hour, then add the remaining ingredients.
5Heat to melt the butter and serve immediately.
