Ingredients:

| cup | Onions, thinly sliced | | 1
| cup | Carrots, thinly sliced | | 1
| cup | Daikon radish, thinly sliced | | 4
| cup | Broccoli florets | | 4
| cup | Cauliflower florets | | 2
| cup | Cabbage, chopped | | 2
| tbsp | Sesame seeds | | | SESAME SAUCE | | 1
| tbsp | Toasted sesame oil | | 2
| tbsp | Tamari | | 1
| tbsp | Brown rice vinegar |

Procedures:
| 1 | Medley: steam vegetables until they are tender-crisp (5 minutes). | | 2 | Plunge into cold water to stop cooking & drain well. | | 3 | Transfer to a serving bowl & set aside. | | 4 | roast sesame seeds in a small skillet over medium heat, until lightly browned, about 5 minutes. | | 5 | Set aside. | | 6 | sauce: combine all the sauce ingredients in a small bowl. | | 7 | Pour over the vegetables & toss to coat. | | 8 | Sprinkle with the roasted seeds & serve. | | 9 | "vegetarian gourmet" winter, 1995 |
