Ingredients:
2 cupDry Pinto Beans
1/2 lbsMeat *
1 eachClove Garlic
1/4 tbspGround Cumin
1 xWater To More Than Cover
1 eachLarge Onion Chopped
1 tbspRed Chili Powder
1/2 tbspOregano
Procedures:
1* meats should include only one of the following: saltpork, ham hock, or diced bacon.
2Add salt to taste if other than salt pork is uxed.
3Soak beans in water overnight.
4Add salt pork, onion, garlic, chili powder, cumin and oregano; simmer on low heat at least 4 hours or water is absorbed and mixture is thick.
