Bean curd with a spicy sauce

Ingredients:
SAUCE
2 tspCornstarch
1/2 cupStock
1 tspChili paste with garlic
2 tbspSoy sauce
1 tbspVegetable oil
Salt to taste
1/2 tspSugar
BEAN CURD
2 tbspOil
3 Garlic cloves
1 tspFresh ginger
3 Scallions
1 lbsBean curd
- cut into 1-inch cubes
Procedures:
1Whisk together the sauce ingredients & set aside.
2In a wok, saute garlic & ginger.
3Add scallions, followed by the tofu.
4Cook for a few minutes.
5Pour suace over the sauted ingredients.
6Mix gently & simmer carefully.
7Let the sauce thicken, stirring gently every now & then.
8Serve over rice.
