Ingredients:

| lbs | Ground meat (hamburger, or | | | -other mince) | | 3
| tbsp | Vegetable oil | | 4
| | Garlic cloves, chopped | | 8
| oz | Onion, chopped | | 1
| tbsp | Tomato paste | | 4
| tbsp | Balti masala paste | | 1
| tbsp | Garam masala (optional) | | 1
| tbsp | Fresh coriander leaves | | | -chopped |

Procedures:
| 1 | Stir-fry the minced meat in the wok for 8-12 minutes. | | 2 | Strain off and save the liquid. | | 3 | Set the meat aside. | | 4 | Add the oil to the wok and stir-fry the garlic very quickly: then add onion, reduce heat and stir-fry for 10 minutes, until translucent. | | 5 | Add balti paste and garam masala (if you"re using it). | | 6 | Raise heat again and stir-fry for another few minutes. | | 7 | Then add the mince to the mixture in the wok and continue stir-frying a few minutes more. | | 8 | Lower heat and simmer uncovered for 35-40 minutes. | | 9 | Every now and then, add some of the reserved liquid to help keep the mixture from sticking. | | 10 | When cooked, add coriander leaves to taste. serve |
