Ingredients:
2 lbsGround beef
1/2 cupCornflakes(crushed)
1/4 tspGarlic powder
1/2 tspOnion, finely chopped
1 Egg
Salt & pepper to taste
2 1/4 cupWater
1 cupSkim milk
1 tspSalt
2 cupInstant potates, mashed
1 tbspMargarine
Procedures:
1Combine ground beef, cornflakes, garlic powder, onion, and egg; mix well.
2Add salt and pepper.
3Place beef mixture to 9" pie pan.
4Pat to cover bottom and sides evenly.
5Heat water, skim milk, and salt just to a boil; remove from heat.
6Bake 425 °F for 30 minutes; drain off excess fat.
7Heat water, skim milk, and salt just to a boil; remove from heat.
8Add potatoe granules; mix thoroughly.
9Add margarine; blend well.
10Cover and allow to stand 5 minutes, or until potatoes thicken.
11Spread evenly over meat mixture.
12Return to oven and bake until potatoes are golden brown.
13Allow to rest 10 minutes before cutting pie into wedges.
14Micowave: cover beef mixture.
15Cook on medium for 10 to 12 minutes; drain.
16Cover with potatoes.
17Cook on medium for 2 minutes.
18Hold 5 minutes.
