Ingredients:
4 lbsFresh tender green beans
-- (5 to 6 inches long)
16 Heads fresh dill
1/2 cupCanning or pickling salt
4 cupWater

4 cupWhite vinegar (5 percent)
1 tspHot red pepper flakes
Procedures:
1Yield: about 8 pints procedure: wash and trim ends from beans and cut to 4-inch lengths.
2In each sterile pint jar, place 1 to 2 dill heads and, if desired, 1 clove of garlic.
3Place whole beans upright in jars, leaving ?inch headspace.
4Trim beans to ensure proper fit, if necessary.
5Combine salt, vinegar water, and pepper flakes (if desired).
6Bring to a boil.
7Add hot solution to beans, leaving ?inch headspace.
8Adjust lids and process according to the recommendations in table Table Recommended process time for pickled dilled beans in a boiling-water canner.
9Style of pack: raw.
