Fettucine asparagus with shiitake & smoked bacon

Ingredients:
6 ozSmoked bacon or pancetta
-cut into ? dice
4 tbspOlive oil
6 ozFresh shiitake mushrooms
-sliced
1 lbsAsparagus, cut into 2" piece
12 ozFresh fettucine
1 tbspFresh thyme, finely chopped
2 tbspFresh oregano, finely
-chopped
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Procedures:

3saute bacon in skillet until crisp, remove to a plate.
4Drain off excess fat, then add olive oil to the skillet and cook the mushrooms until softened.
5Lightly blanch the asparagus.
6Cook the pasta briefly in boiling salted water.
7Drain the noodles and toos with the asparagus, bacon, shiitake and fresh herbs.
8Season with salt and pepper.
