| med | Tomatoes, half ripe | | 1/2
| cup | All-purpose Flour | | 2 1/2
| tsp | Salt | | 2 1/2
| tsp | Sugar | | 1/4
| tsp | Pepper | | 3/4
| cup | Pet Evaporated Milk | | | Oil for frying |

Procedures:
| 1 | Wash tomatoes, but do not peel. | | 2 | Cut into ? slices. | | 3 | Place on paper towels to drain. | | 4 | Combine flour, salt, sugar and pepper. | | 5 | Dust tomatoes in flour mixture on both sides. | | 6 | Add evaporated milk to remaining flour mixture to make a thick batter. | | 7 | Dip floured tomatoes in batter. | | 8 | Fry in hot oil ? deep until golden brown on both sides. | | 9 | makes 6 servings. |
