Ingredients:
3 ozMargarine
4 ozOnions
3 ozSugar
2 ozLemon juice or cider vinegar
1 pintRed wine
1 xSalt to taste
1 xPepper to taste
4 lbsRed cabbage, peeled, cored, shr
1/2 lbsApples, peeled, cored, and d
1/2 tbspPowdered cloves
1 eachStick cinnamon
Procedures:
1Saute onions in maragrine.
2Add sugar and brown lightly.
3Add lemon juice or vinegar to deglaze.
4Add cabbage, apples, wine, and seasonings.
5Mix well.
6Cover and simmer until cabbage is cooked, but still has crispness.
7Remove cinnamon.
