Banana oatmeal cookies w/ banana frosting

Ingredients:
3/4 cupButter Flavor Crisco
1 cupSugar, brown, firmly packed
1 Egg
1 cupBananas, mashed, ripe
- 2 to 3 medium
1 3/4 cupOats, quick, NOT instant or
- old fashioned
1 1/2 cupFlour, all purpose
1 tspSalt
1 tspCinnamon
1/2 tspBaking soda
1/4 tspNutmeg
1/2 cupWalnuts, coarsely chopped
FROSTING [ OPTIONAL
2 tbspButter Flavor Crisco
1/4 cupBananas, mashed
1 tspLemon juice
2 cupSugar, confectioners
Walnuts, finely chopped opt.
Procedures:
1Preparation time: 20 minutes bake time: 15 to 17 minutes
2Heat oven to 350°F.
3Grease baking sheet with butter flavor crisco.
4Set aside.
5Cream ?cup butter flavor crisco and brown sugar in large bowl at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended.
6Beat in egg.
7Add 1 cup mashed bananas.
8Mix until creamy.
9Combine oats, flour, salt cinnamon, baking soda and nutmeg.
10Stir into creamed mixture.
11Mix in ?cup nuts.
12Drop 2 level measuring tablespoonfuls of dough into a mound to form each cookie.
13Place 2 inches apart on baking sheet.
14Bake at 350°F for 15 to 17 minutes.
15Cool 1 minute on baking sheet.
16Remove to cooling rack.
17Cool completely.
18For frosting, cream 2 tablespoons butter flavor crisco, ?cup mashed bananas and lemon juice.
19Add confectioners sugar.
20Beat until smooth.
21Frost cooled cookies.
22Sprinkle with finely chopped walnuts, if desired.
23makes 5 dozen 2 inch cookies.
