Banana jumbos

Ingredients:
1 cupShortening, (part butter
-or margarine)
1 cupSugar
2 Eggs
1 cupBananas, ripe, mashed
1/2 cupButtermilk
1 tspVanilla
3 cupFlour
1/2 tbspBaking soda
1/2 tspSalt
1 cupNuts, chopped
THIN ICING
1 cupSugar, confectioners
-sifted
1 tbspMilk, water or cream
-to 2 T
1/2 tspVanilla
Procedures:
1Mix shortening, sugar, and eggs thoroughly.
2Stir in bananas, butter- milk, and vanilla.
3Measure flour by dipping method, or by sifting.
4Stir flour, soda, and salt together; stir in. blend in nuts.
5Chill one hour.
6heat oven to 375°F.
7Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough two inches apart on lightly greased baking sheet.
8Bake about 10 minutes, or until delicately browned.
9If desired, frost with a thin confectioners" sugar icing.
10icing: mix sugar, milk and vanilla until smooth.
