Carrot bran brownies

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cupAM Bran Flakes
1 cupAM Whole Wheat Pastry Flour
1/2 tspSea salt (optional)
2 tspNon-alum baking powder
1 tbspCinnamon
1/2 cupChopped nuts
1 cupGrated carrot
1/2 cupAM Sesame Tahini
-OR- vegetable oil
1/2 cupHoney or maple syrup
1/2 cupMilk or soy milk
APRICOT GLAZE
2 cupPitted & chopped apricots
-- (fresh)
1 sliceLemon with peel, chopped
1/3 cupHoney or maple syrup
Procedures:
1Mix dry ingredients together and stir in nuts and carrot.
2Beat liquids and stir into dry mixture.
3Spread batter into an oiled 8" x 8" pan.
4Bake at 375°F. for 30 minutes.
5Serve warm or top with apricot glaze (recipe below).
6Apricot glaze: combine ingredients in a saucepan and stir over medium-low heat until apricots become juicy.
7Pour into a blender and puree; return to saucepan and cook for 5-8 minutes.
8Cool and spread on top of cake or cookies.
