Ingredients:

| cup | Lightly salted butter | | 1
| cup | Dark brown sugar | | 3/4
| cup | Sugar | | 3/4
| tsp | Vanilla | | 2
| | Eggs | | 2
| cup | Flour | | 1/2
| tsp | Salt | | 1
| tsp | Baking soda | | 1 1/2
| cup | Coarsely chopped, toasted | | | -pecans | | 3
| cup | Semi-sweet chocolate chips |

Procedures:
| 1 | Preheat oven to 350 degrees. | | 2 | Toast pecans for 3-5 minutes. | | 3 | Cream butter, sugar and vanilla. | | 4 | Mix well. | | 5 | Add eggs, flour, salt and baking soda. | | 6 | Mix. | | 7 | Stir in nuts and chocolate chips. | | 8 | Use ?cup measure and drop batter onto ungreased cookie sheet. | | 9 | Bake for 18-20 minutes. | | 10 | Cool on the cookie sheet. | | 11 | Makes 29 cookies. |
