Ingredients:
1 cup(2 sticks) margarine or but
1 1/4 cupFirmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cupGranulated sugar
2 xEggs
2 tbspMilk
2 tbspVanilla
1 3/4 cupAll-purpose flour
1 tbspBaking soda
1/2 tbspSalt (optional)
2 1/2 cupQuaker oats (quick or old-
Fashioned, uncooked)
2 cup(1 12-oz. pkg.) semi-sweet
Chocolate morsels
1 cupCoarsely chopped nuts
(optional)
Procedures:
1Heat oven to 37Beat margarine and sugars until creamy.
2Add eggs, milk, and vanilla; beat well.
3Add flour, baking soda and salt, mix well.
4Stir in oats, chocolate morsels and nuts; mix well.
5Drop by rounded measuring tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheet.
6(for easy bar cookies press dough instead into bottom of ungreased 13 x 9 inch baking pan).
7Bake cookies 9 to 10 mins for chewy and 12 to 13 for crispy (bake bar cookies 35 to 40 mins until light golden brown).
8Cookies: cool 1 min on cookie sheet; move to wire rack.
9Cool completely.
10About 5 dozen cookies.
