| 1 | Combine flour, 1 cup brown sugar and softened butter in large mixer bowl. |
| 2 | Beat at medium speed of electric mixer 2-3 minutes or until mixture resembles fine crumbs. |
| 3 | Pat mixture evenly onto bottom of ungreased 13x9" baking pan. |
| 4 | Sprinkle pecans evenly over crumb mixture. |
| 5 | combine 2/3 cup butter and remaining ?brown sugar in small saucepan. |
| 6 | Cook and stir over medium heat until entire surface is bubbly. |
| 7 | Cook and stir ?to 1 minute more. |
| 8 | Pour into pan, spreading evenly over crust. |
| 9 | Bake in 350°F. |
| 10 | Oven 18-20 minutes or until entire surface is bubbly. |
| 11 | Remove from oven; immediately sprinkle with chocolate pieces. |
| 12 | Let stand 2-3 minutes to sllow chocolate to melt; use knife to swirl chocolate slightly. |
| 13 | Cool completely in pan on wire rack. |
| 14 | Use sharp knife to cut into 48 bars. |
