Sesame wafers

Ingredients:
1/2 cupButter or margarine
1 cupC&H Golden Brown Sugar
1 tspVanilla
1 Egg, unbeaten
1/2 cupSesame seeds, toasted
1 cupSifted all-purpose flour
1/4 tspBaking powder
1/4 tspSalt
Procedures:
1Cream together butter, sugar, and vanilla.
2Beat in egg, then stir in sesame seeds.
3Sift together dry ingredients; add to mixture and mix well.
4Drop in small, ball-like mounds about 3 inches apart in well-greased baking sheet.
5Bake at 375 °F for 8 to 10 minutes (dough will spread, puff up while baking, then sink).
6Cool a minute before removing from sheet.
7Makes about 4 dozen thin, crisp cookies.
8to toast sesame seeds: spread seeds in shallow pan and set in 375 degree oven until browned (8 to 10 minutes).
