Ingredients:

| cup | BUTTER | | 2
| cup | POWDERED SUGAR, SIFTED | | 2
| tsp | VANILLA | | 1/2
| tsp | SALT | | 4 1/2
| cup | FLOUR |

Procedures:
| 1 | Mix butter, sugar and flavoring together well. | | 2 | Sift flour and measure. | | 3 | Mix flour and salt. | | 4 | Mix with hands. | | 5 | Mold in rolls, 2" across. | | 6 | Wrap in waxed paper, chill overnight, or several hours. | | 7 | Heat oven to 400°F. | | 8 | Cut dough into 1/8" slices. | | 9 | Place on ungreased baking sheet a little bit apart. | | 10 | Note: roll dough in colored sugar for a better tasting and better looking |
