Ingredients:
2 Eggs
1/2 cupShortening
1 tspCream of tartar
1 1/2 cupFlour
1/2 tspBaking soda
1/2 tspSalt
1 cupSugar
1/2 tspVanilla
Procedures:
1Cream shortening and sugar.
2Add well-beaten egg yolks.
3Sift flour.
4Measure ?cup and sift with cream of tartar, salt, and baking soda.
5Combine with egg mixture.
6Mix thoroughly.
7Add stiffly beaten egg whites and flavoring.
8Add sufficient flour to make a soft dough.
9Turn onto lightly floured board.
10Roll in sheet 1/8 inch thick.
11Cut with floured cutter.
12Place on slightly oiled baking sheet.
13Bake in hot oven (400°F) about 10 minutes.
1450 servings.
