| 1 | Preheat oven to 350°F. |
| 2 | For bars, combine cookie mix, contents of peanut butter packet from mix, egg and 1 tablespoon water in large bowl. |
| 3 | Stir until thoroughly blended. |
| 4 | Stir in peanuts. |
| 5 | For white glaze, place confectioners" sugar in small bowl. |
| 6 | Add water, 1 teaspoon at a time, stirring until smooth and desired consistency. |
| 7 | Drizzle over cooled bars. |
| 8 | For chocolate glaze, place chocolate chips and shortening in small resealable plastic bag; seal. |
| 9 | Place bag in bowl of hot water for several minutes. |
| 10 | Dry with paper towel. |
| 11 | Knead until blended and chocolate is smooth. |
| 12 | Snip pinpoint hole in corner of bag. |
| 13 | Drizzle chocolate glaze over white glaze. |
| 14 | Allow glazes to set before cutting into bars. |
| 15 | Makes 18 bars. |
| 16 | Tip: for a special presentation, cut cookies into diamond or triangle shapes instead of bars. |
