Caper-saffron mayonaise - bon appetit

Ingredients:
1 tbspWater
1/2 tbspPacked saferon threads
3/4 cupMayonnaise
1/4 cupDrained capers plus
1 tbspCaper liquid
2 tbspMixed chopped fresh herbs
Procedures:
1: (such as thyme, oregano : and parsley) or 2 t dried 2 t fresh lemon juice 1 ?t minced garlic
2bring water and saffron to simmer in small saucepan.
3Remove from heat; let stand 10 minutes.
4Place mayonnaise in small bowl; whisk in saffron mixture.
5Add remaining ingredients; stir until blended.
6Season with salt and pepper.
7Cover and chill at least 2 hours.
8(can be made 3 days ahead.
9Keep chilled).
