Procedures:
| 1 | Drain sirup from canned cherries. | | 2 | Add juice of 1 lemon if sirup lacks tartness and flavor. | | 3 | Combine sirup and sugar. | | 4 | Heat rapidly to boiling. | | 5 | Stir constantly before and while boiling. | | 6 | Add fruit pectin. | | 7 | Stir constantly. | | 8 | Heat to full rolling boil. | | 9 | Remove from fire. | | 10 | Skim. | | 11 | Sirup from any canned fruit may be substituted for the cherry sirup. | | 12 | The household searchlight |
