Ingredients:

| lbs | Spaghetti or Linguine | | | -- uncooked | | 1 1/2
| lbs | Ground beef | | 1
| large | Onion, minced | | 2
| tbsp | Vegetable oil | | 1
| large | Garlic clove, minced | | 28
| oz | Canned crushed tomatoes | | 2
| tsp | Dried oregano | | 1/4
| cup | Finely chopped parsley | | | -(fresh) | | 2
| cup | Low-fat Cheddar cheese | | | -(grated) |

Procedures:
| 1 | Prepare pasta according to package directions; drain. | | 2 | Brown beef in large skillet, drain and set aside. | | 3 | Preheat oven to 350 °F. | | 4 | In skillet, saute onion and garlic in oil. | | 5 | Return beef to skillet and add tomatoes, oregano and parsley. | | 6 | Simmer 10 minutes. | | 7 | Add pasta and 1 cup of cheese to simmering tomato mixture; stir. | | 8 | Cover mixture with remaining cheese. | | 9 | Bake for 30 minutes or until top is crispy. | | 10 | Serves 4-6 each serving provides: 978 calories; 47.9 g protein; 139 g carbohydrates; 24.7 g fat; 56.8 mg cholesterol; 472 mg sodium. | | 11 | Calories from fat: 23% |
