Iron skillet spaghetti

Ingredients:
1 lbsSpaghetti or Linguine
-- uncooked
1 1/2 lbsGround beef
1 largeOnion, minced
2 tbspVegetable oil
1 largeGarlic clove, minced
28 ozCanned crushed tomatoes
2 tspDried oregano
1/4 cupFinely chopped parsley
-(fresh)
2 cupLow-fat Cheddar cheese
-(grated)
Procedures:
1Prepare pasta according to package directions; drain.
2Brown beef in large skillet, drain and set aside.
3Preheat oven to 350 °F.
4In skillet, saute onion and garlic in oil.
5Return beef to skillet and add tomatoes, oregano and parsley.
6Simmer 10 minutes.
7Add pasta and 1 cup of cheese to simmering tomato mixture; stir.
8Cover mixture with remaining cheese.
9Bake for 30 minutes or until top is crispy.
10Serves 4-6 each serving provides: 978 calories; 47.9 g protein; 139 g carbohydrates; 24.7 g fat; 56.8 mg cholesterol; 472 mg sodium.
