Ingredients:
| 4
| tbsp | butter | | 1
| | onion, chopped | | 2
| | potatoes, cut into 1/2 (1cm) cubes | | 14
| oz | can artichoke hearts, drained | | 3
| cups | milk | | 1/2
| tsp | paprika | | 1/4
| tsp | freshly ground black pepper | | 4
| oz | peeled and cooked small shrimp (for garnish) | | 1
| tbsp | chopped chives (for garnish) |

Procedures:
| 1 | Melt butter in a alrge sauceopan. Add onion and potato and cook gently for 5 minutes. | | 2 | Stir in artichoke hearts, milk, paprika and pepper. Bring soup to a boil, lower heat and simmer for 20 minutes. | | 3 | Put soup in a blender or food processor. Return to a clean pan and heat gently. | | 4 | When ready to serve, bring soup to a boil. Set aside a few shrimp for garnish and add remainder to soup. As soon as they are heated through, ladle soup into heated bowls. Garnish with chives and reserved shrimp. |
