Ingredients:

| tbsp | olive oil | | 1
| | onion, chopped | | 2
| | garlic cloves, finely chopped | | 4
| | large ripe tomatoes, peeled and chopped | | 2
| tbsp | chopped fresh basil | | 2
| tbsp | chopped fresh parsley | | 14
| oz | can artichoke hearts, drained and halved | | 12
| oz | spirelli pasta | | | basil sprigs and grated Parmesan cheese |

Procedures:
| 1 | Heat oil in a saucepan, add onion and garlic and saute over low heat until tender. Stir in tomatoes, basil and parsley. bring to a boil, lower heat, and simmer for 30 minutes until sauce has reduced and thickened. Stir in artichoke halves. | | 2 | Cook spireli in boiling slated water according to package directions. Drain well. Top with sauce. Garnish with basil and serve with Parmesan cheese. |
