Pasta Spirals with Tomato and Artichokes Sauce

Ingredients:
1 tbspolive oil
1 onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
4 large ripe tomatoes, peeled and chopped
2 tbspchopped fresh basil
2 tbspchopped fresh parsley
14 ozcan artichoke hearts, drained and halved
12 ozspirelli pasta
basil sprigs and grated Parmesan cheese
Procedures:
1Heat oil in a saucepan, add onion and garlic and saute over low heat until tender. Stir in tomatoes, basil and parsley. bring to a boil, lower heat, and simmer for 30 minutes until sauce has reduced and thickened. Stir in artichoke halves.
2Cook spireli in boiling slated water according to package directions. Drain well. Top with sauce. Garnish with basil and serve with Parmesan cheese.
