Apple, Onion and Mushroom Stew

Ingredients:
2 tbspchopped parsley
2 tbspchopped chives
1/2 literpearl onions
1/2 literassorted mushrooms (bolets, chanterelles or button), washed
2 large apples
2 tbspbutter
1/4 cupbacon strips, cut into 1-inch squares
3/4 cupcider
1/3 cupapple vinegar
Procedures:
1Peel the pearl onions. Cut the large ones into halves or quarters.
2Peel the apples, remove seeds, and cut into cubes.
3In a pan, saute the bacon and apple cubes for 3-5 minutes and set aside.
4In a separate pan, saute the onions, mushrooms, chopped chives and parsley in butter.
5Add the cooked apples and bacon squares and continue sauteeing.
6Add cider and vinegar and simmer for about 12-15 minutes.
7Remove from heat and serve as topping on grilled pork chops or chicken breast.
