Ingredients:
| 2
| tbsp | chopped parsley | | 2
| tbsp | chopped chives | | 1/2
| liter | pearl onions | | 1/2
| liter | assorted mushrooms (bolets, chanterelles or button), washed | | 2
| | large apples | | 2
| tbsp | butter | | 1/4
| cup | bacon strips, cut into 1-inch squares | | 3/4
| cup | cider | | 1/3
| cup | apple vinegar |

Procedures:
| 1 | Peel the pearl onions. Cut the large ones into halves or quarters. | | 2 | Peel the apples, remove seeds, and cut into cubes. | | 3 | In a pan, saute the bacon and apple cubes for 3-5 minutes and set aside. | | 4 | In a separate pan, saute the onions, mushrooms, chopped chives and parsley in butter. | | 5 | Add the cooked apples and bacon squares and continue sauteeing. | | 6 | Add cider and vinegar and simmer for about 12-15 minutes. | | 7 | Remove from heat and serve as topping on grilled pork chops or chicken breast. |
