Ingredients:
2 lbsBeef, ground
1 largeOnion, chopped
2 canKidney beans in chili gravy
2 canTomatoes, whole, peeled
(16 oz)
2 tspSalt
1/4 cupSugar, brown
1 tbspChili powder
(or more to taste)
Procedures:
1Combine onion and hamburger in skillet, cook, stirring frequently, until meat is brown and crumbly.
2Pour off excess fat.
3Transfer to large pot, add kidney beans, canned tomatoes, salt, brown sugar and chili powder.
4Cook slowly - the longer you can allow the chili to simmer the better it is.
5Add more chili powder to taste
