Ingredients:
1 lbsSliced liver, thinly
3 tbspFlour
1/2 tspSalt
3 tbspMargarine -=OR=-
3 tbspSalad oil
1/2 cupOnion, sliced thinly
1/2 cupBell pepper, sliced thinly
-- (optional)
1 cupTomatoes, stewed
1/3 cupAll-purpose barbecue sauce
-- any flavor
MY ADDITIONS
1/4 Green pepper
1/4 Red pepper
1/4 Yellow pepper
1/2 cupMushrooms
Procedures:
1Remove heavy membranes and veins from liver, if any.
2Cut into 4 x 1-? strips.
3Dredge liver in flour and salt.
4Lightly brown in margarine or oil in skillet.
5Remover skillet; keep warm.
6Saute onion and green pepper (i used yellow, red, green and about a cup of bell pepper.
7Next time i will also add some mushrooms).
8In skillet until onion is transparent.
9Add tomatoes with barbacue sauce.
10Bring to a boil.
11Add liver; heat thoroughly, about 10 minutes.
