Ingredients:
1/2 cupButter
3 ozCream cheese
1 tspVanilla extract
1 cupFlour
1/8 tspSalt
6 tsp100% fruit spread
1 Eggs
1 tspWater, cold
Procedures:
1Use various flavors of fruit spread.
2Combine butter and cream cheese in large bowl; beat until smooth and creamy.
3Blend in vanilla.
4Combine flour and salt; gradually add to butter mixture, mixing until mixture forms soft dough.
5Divide dough in half; wrap each half in plastic wrap.
6Refrigerate until firm.
7Preheat oven to 37Roll out half of dough on lightly floured pastry cloth or board to 1/8" thickness.
8Cut with top of glass or biscuit cutter into 3" rounds.
9Spoon ?ts fruit spread onto center of each dough circle.
10Beat egg with water; lightly brush onto edges of dough circles.
11Bring three edges of dough up over fruit spread; pinch edges together to seal.
12Place on ungreased cookie sheets; brush with egg mixture.
13Pepeat with remaining dough and fruit spread.
14Bake 12 minutes, until golden brown.
15Let stand on cookie sheets 1 minute; transfer to wire rack.
16Cool completely.
17Store in tightly covered container.
